Runners

PER DIEM

CARMEL OFFICE

This individual will assist in taking patients from the waiting room, obtaining height, weight, blood pressure and escorting them back to the exam room. In addition, the Medical Runner will be responsible for accurately updating vitals in the patient electronic medical record and keeping exam rooms clean and stocked. Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Education or equivalent required.
  • Prior medical office experience is preferred.
  • Must be a team player and be able to communicate and work with both staff and patients.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism is required in this position.

Surgical Coordinator

Full Time - CARMEL OFFICE

(2) full time experienced surgical coordinators. Must be able to obtain authorizations from insurance companies and coordinate surgeries with hospitals. Knowledge of Surgimate would be preferred. Must be flexible with hours and have the ability to muli-task with multiple doctors.

Front Desk

Full Time - CARMEL OFFICE - Check in and check out.

The ideal candidate must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a busy office environment. Bilingual would be an advantage.
Knowledge of medical terminology, data entry, medical insurance
and authorizations required. One year medical experience as well as a
high school diploma or equivalent. A high standard of
honesty, integrity, and professionalism is expected in this position.

General Office Help

Part-Time - CARMEL OFFICE and MT KISCO OFFICE

Somers Orthopaedics is looking for part-time general office help in our busy Carmel and Mt Kisco locations

Various clerical and medical office skills desirable, but will train the right person.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-starter and team player with a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Somers Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Group, has positions
available for MRI and X-Ray Technologists. Candidates must be NYS
licensed, reliable and possess the ability to work in a high volume, fast
paced environment. The ideal candidate will also reside in the upper Westchester/Putnam County area to be in proximity to our Mt Kisco and Carmel offices.

Job Description Overview:

The Medical Secretary position requires dealing with all clerical aspects

regarding patient care and patient inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to

understand medical terminology and interact with physicians, insurance companies as well as patients.

-Assist physician in the administrative and clerical paperwork involved in the care of the patient.

-Assisting patients with concerns or questions relating to visits, insurance.

-Coordinate patient care

-Making appointments when necessary.

Job Qualifications:

Experience working in a medical office is REQUIRED

Must be computer literate.

Must be detail oriented, well organized and able to multi-task in a high volume, busy medical

Office environment.

A high level of integrity and reliability is expected in this position.

Physician Assistants

Somers Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Group, PLLC, Hudson Valley’s premier orthopaedic group, is seeking a New York State Licensed Physician Assistant

with NCCPA certification to join our expanding practice. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as with others in a fast paced office and hospital environment.

Candidate will be responsible for patient evaluations and in-office procedures in collaboration with MD.

Experience in out-patient orthopaedics preferred, but will train new graduates with an eagerness to learn.
