Andrew Peretz, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery. Dr. Peretz joined Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group in 1997, and he treats spinal disorders in both adults and pediatric patients at the practice’s locations in Mount Kisco, Fishkill, Newburgh, and Carmel, New York.
Dr. Peretz received his degree in chemistry from Princeton University and earned his medical degree from the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Peretz then completed his fellowship in spinal surgery at the Institute for Spinal Disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
He is currently a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Peretz is a member of the Medical Society of New York State, the Medical Society of Westchester County, and the American Medical Association. He has co-authored several publications and research articles involving the spine.
Dr. Peretz’s current hospital affiliations include Putnam Hospital Center, where he is the Director of the Spinal Institute. He serves as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northern Westchester Hospital Center. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
