Dr. Oren I. Feder is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon fellowship-trained specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction, including total joint replacement, minimally invasive techniques, and complex revision procedures.

Dr. Feder completed his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Orthopedic Surgery, one of the nation’s top programs for joint replacement. There, he trained extensively in robotic-assisted surgery, outpatient and same-day joint replacement, and recovery protocols. His clinical focus includes infection prevention and multimodal pain management to support a smoother recovery experience. He uses advanced, evidence-based techniques and technology and aims to help patients return to function safely and comfortably after surgery. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at NYU Langone Health, where he developed broad experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee surgery.

Dr. Feder earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the Richard Selznick Memorial Research Award for best original orthopedic research. He graduated *magna cum laude* from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering, reflecting his strong foundation in biomechanics and medical innovation.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Feder has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on infection prevention, outpatient arthroplasty, and outcomes in hip and knee replacement. His work has appeared in leading orthopedic journals and has contributed to improving patient safety in joint reconstruction.

Dr. Feder is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He has been recognized for his commitment to excellence in patient care, clinical research, and medical education throughout his career.

At Somers Orthopaedics, Dr. Feder provides individualized, evidence-based care that prioritizes each patient’s comfort, function, and long-term health. His practice integrates the latest advancements in surgical technology with a compassionate, collaborative approach to care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Feder enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, as well as skiing, scuba diving, cooking, and playing guitar, and he is conversational in Spanish.
