Dr. Levin is concerned, caring and a delight to deal with in general.
He discusses all matters in detail, patiently answers questions, and his instructions are definitive and clearly presented.
Before, day of, and post-op the rotator cuff surgery he performed, I felt well prepared for what I would be experiencing. In general, Dr. Levin made me feel that we were part of a team.
The entire experience was a positive one in every regard.

I hope my experience can help others. There is no better place to go to take care of your joint replacement. I had total knee replacement in November 2022. I live in Poughkeepsie, at first, I was not thrilled about driving to Danbury for the surgery, but it was absolutely worth it. All my pre and post-op appointments were at Westage and one in Newburgh. Dr. Styles, his team, everyone at all the locations has been so nice and helpful and attentive. I cannot stress enough how pleasant the experience has been. They know what they're doing and they're doing it to help you! I cannot wait to get the other knee done next year :-) My thanks to everyone there, I love my new knee!

40 year Nurse Practitioner,Columbia University trained,I’m post Total Knee Replacement.I never thought I would have joint replacement locally,always believed I wanted Hospital for Special Surgery or Columbia University. Being older and somewhat lazy I decided local vs traveling into NYC,boy am I glad I choice Somers Orthopedics and Danbury Hospital!
First of all this Orthopedic practice is very patient responsive and efficient. Dr Rogell has a amazing pre and post-op pain management/rehab program. I’m now on day 10 post surgery and walking independently with a cane. I had some trouble with my sensitivity to anesthesia and experienced nausea post op;so I choice NO pain meds to avoid worsening the nausea,which was much worse than my discomfort.I attribute my ability to reject pain meds to some pre-op interventions by Dr.Rogell.
The Nursing,Physical Therapy,and Orthopedics Np/PA’s in patient at Danbury Hospital were great communicators and very compassionate.The pre and post-op program at Danbury hospital was comprehensive and high quality.
I can unreservedly recommend Dr.Rogell for joint replacement surgery. I also recommend Somers Orthopedic for any orthopedic/muscle skeletal problems,they have a urgent care! The practiced patient focused, I wish every speciality practice could be organized in a similar fashion.

My experience with the actual appointment and bi-lateral knee injections was just fine.
However, a bit more than a week post-injection, I find that it's as if the injections contained only the Lidocaine and left out the cortisone. I experienced immediate relief of the discomfort in both knees, but the relief has not continued. Perhaps this is due to the bone-on-bone condition of both knees, but usually there is building relief after the injections "take hold" - this time, this does not seem to be occurring.

Dr. Buchalter is outstanding in his care. The office administration needs improvement. The length of time you have to wait to speak to someone takes away from the exceptional care give by Dr. Buchalter. I called when I received the results of my MRI to schedule an appointment. I was told I had to wait for someone to read it and tell them to call me to schedule. While I understand it’s frustrating given the availability that’s often weeks away. I’m not sure how you fix this. given the size of your large administrative staff patients naturally expect it be more responsive especially when compared to other their experience with other area medical practices. Since I don’t want Dr. Buchalter to get low scores, I have 4 stars, but I would give the office a 3 and him a 5. Hope this feedback helps.

Dr. Buchalter has replaced both my knee and hip and I have to tell you he is the best there is! He has a fantastic bed side manner and is a real person. He never pressures anyone to have surgery but when it is necessary he is the one I want on my team. He will be doing my other hip before the year is over.

My 14 year old daughter had been struggling with bunions that were getting progressively worse over the last few years and were negatively impacting her performance in sports. I found Dr. Berman when I was looking for alternate options for traditional bunion surgery. Lapiplasty is an amazing procedure that permanently corrects the bunion. Dr. Berman did an amazing job on both of my daughter’s feet. He was extremely supportive in the healing process and was easily reached at all times. He showed a great deal of care and professionalism as he walked us through the whole process. As a parent, it’s a difficult decision to have your child be put under for surgery, but we totally trusted Dr. Berman and his team. We highly recommend him and Somers Orthopedic.
