I can’t say enough positive things about Somers Orthopedics.. but in particular, Dr Daniel Buchalter. After “interviewing” 5 different surgeons for my bilateral hip replacements, at 4 different hospitals including 2 of the “top best” in NYC, I chose Dr Daniel Buchalter. He checked all the boxes and then some. Dr Daniel Buchalter’s educational biography was most impressive and his personality was unmatched to all the other surgeons I met with (in a good way). Plus, orthopedic surgery is in his blood, his dad is one of the best as well. I chose Dr Daniel Buchalter for many reasons and I am so grateful I did. He replaced my right hip May 1st (perfection) and I will be having him replace my left hip this August. It has been a game changer in my life (in a good way) . Surgery is always the last resort and there is so much to consider. I felt completely at ease with the entire staff/facility but mostly because I knew I chose the right Dr from the minute I met him. I booked my first surgery immediately after my consult apt. with him. I have already recommended Dr Daniel Buchalter to many clients and family members. I can’t thank Dr Daniel Buchalter enough for making my experience so comfortable and taking away my hip pain. I am looking forward to August for him to complete my “pain free, new hip journey” .
Ps I always expect a wait at any Drs office. Don’t worry if you have a wait it is well worth it. Plus they give everyone equal attention and I have never felt rushed.

He was very good. But I left realizing that he did not show me my x-rays. I really would have liked to see the x-rays and see if he found anything in particular, especially with the right hip. Please let me know if the pictures can be put online and that I can read his comments and I will logon to review.

I would recommend Dr. Howard to anyone seeking his expertise in his orthopedic practice.
There is never a wait, the staff is friendly and helpful.
Dr. Howard takes his time in explaining your medical issues and offering his advice and possible treatments.
He is professional and kind and friendly!

Very difficult surgery and complications. I’m still experiencing the same pain, after 3 weeks. I’m very disappointed I developed a hematoma near my spine. I hope I do not get an infection. Perhaps the drain wasn’t monitored correctly. I know I had serious surgery but very disappointed with the outcome.

Dr. Daniel Smith provided an exceptional experience. He was friendly, helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable, yet professional every step of the way. Dr. Smith thoroughly explained the results of my ex rays and was very accurate in recognizing the cause of my painful condition. He took the time with me and advised me that physical therapy and certain stretching exercises should help alleviate my problem and that an operation was not necessary. That is, in my opinion, an exceptional diagnosis, especially coming from a surgeon. I could not be happier or more satisfied with this experience.

Dr Styles is just wonderful, he takes his time and explains everything. Excellence , professional and a miracle worker, i wouldn't go anywhere else, that is the best way to describe him . I recommend him to all my friends and family and since I work in a medical office myself I have given many many patients his/ office contact information. Just love him and his staff...true professionals...

Dr. Fauser shows compassion for his patients. His bedside manners is the best when under his care during your hospital stay. I can say this about him because of the 30 plus years I’ve been under his care for orthopedic ailments.
